It uses a DS Motion Card to detect motion and rotation of the console and the orientation data of the DS is sent through WiFi to the external controller plugin. The required files are available here. Apple notebooks Lucky Mac users! All Apple notebooks (iBook, PowerBook, MacBook) have a built-in accelerometer, and the Mac version of Balance supports them all. Support is done with unimotion. Toshiba Support of Toshiba notebooks is currently under beta testing. Do the following to play and test Balance with accelerometers built into Toshiba notebooks: Install 'Toshiba Accelerometer Utilities' if it's not already installed & running.
